Obituaries For Thursday May 2

Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Sue McGee, age 63 of Hilham, will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 11 AM from the Hall Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. Mrs. McGee passed from this life on Monday, April 29, 2024 at the Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. Mrs. Barbara Sue McGee was born in Livingston, Overton Co., TN on Tuesday, October 18, 1960 to the late Arlis Eugene and Bessie Marie (Linder) Holman. Barbara worked in law enforcement for the sheriff’s office as office manager. She was a member of the Mt. Gilead Church and loved her family and friends and especially her grandchildren and spending time with them. Barbara will be greatly missed by her family and friends and all who knew her. She is survived by 1 Daughter: Artina Sidwell of Hilham, TN; 1 Son: Jerry Adams, Jr. (Rachael) of Albany, KY; 1 Step Daughter: Stacy “Keisha” Darty of Cookeville, TN; 10 Grandchildren: Kayla Keith, Brylee Adams, Jazmin Johnson, Landon Gabbard, Bronson Adams, Ashtyn Bowlin, Landon Sidwell, Jayana Johnson, Hunter Auberson, Liam Adams; 1 Great Grandchild: Jaylee Keith; 2 Brothers: Timmy Allen Holman (Brandy), Ray Holman (Sherrie); Nieces and Nephews: Kacie Holman, Lillie Belle Holman, Matthew Holman, Cody Holman, Logan Holman; A host of other family members and friends also survive. The family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 1st starting at 4 PM to 8 PM.

Funeral services for Robin Jo (Rhodifer) Rogers, age 63 of Byrdstown, will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 1:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Husband Gene Rogers officiating. The burial will be in Story Cemetery. Mrs. Rogers passed away on April 28, 2024. She was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Robin was born June 17, 1960 in Dayton, OH. She was a tax consultant and owner of Byrdstown Tax Service. Throughout her career, she was known for her hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others. But more than anything, Robin was a devoted mother. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren sharing stories, playing games, and watching their favorite tv shows. She was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced. Robin is survived by her loving husband, Gene Rogers, her children, Nathan Spade and Nicole Rogers, her many grandchildren, 2 brothers Lee Rhodifer, Mark Rhodifer and his wife Joana Rhodifer and son Wildred Rhodifer. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 PM until the service at 1:00 PM.

Funeral services for Judy Carol Harris, age 73 of Baxter, will be Friday, May 3 at 11 AM at Silver Point Church of Christ, 6701 Smithville Hwy., Silver Point. Bro. Luke Wilken officiating. She will be laid to rest in the G.V. Herren Family Cemetery. Born on May 10, 1950, in Putnam County, TN, Judy’s life was a tapestry of devotion to her family and her community, woven with threads of creativity and humor. She was known to all simply as Judy, and she carried her name with the grace and kindness that so defined her. Judy Carol Harris lived a life rich in love and laughter, and though she has departed from this earthly realm, the impact of her life will continue to resonate. As we say goodbye to Judy, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was and take solace in the knowledge that her story-a story of love, family, and joy-will be told for years to come. She is survived by daughters, Lynette (Jeff) Ellis of Silver Point, JoJo (Jim) Braddom of Baxter; grandchildren: Jordy (Shianna) Ellis, Jenna (Tyler) Chase, Kellie Jo (Terry) Ray, great-grandchildren: Lena Ellis, Tatum Ray, Jenessa Chase and Teagan Ray. The family will receive friends at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper Huddleston Horner Funeral Home Thursday, May 2 from 4 to 8 PM and after 10 AM Friday at the church until service time.

Funeral services for Evelyn Lana (King) Cummings, age 89 of Byrdstown, will be held Friday, May 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Joel Chappel, Jr. and Bro. Joel Chappel, Sr. officiating. The burial will be in Smyrna Cemetery. Mrs. Cummings passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Overton County Care and Rehab. She was born November 13, 2934 in Byrdstown, TN to Hershel King and Duell (Storie) King. She was a member of Moodyville Baptist Church and a retired hairdresser. Evelyn is survived by (1) daughter: Janet Huddleston and husband: Cecil; (2) sons: Willie Hile Cummings, Robin Cummings and wife: Lisa; (7) grandchildren: Lana Huddleston Reeder, Amanda Huddleston Reagan, Caleb Cummings, Kimber Cummings, Elisha Cummings, Danielle Cummings Whiteaker, Megan Cummings Reeder; (8) great-grandchildren: Cole and Cain Reeder, Case Huddleston, Everly Reagan, Reid Sells, Gage Whiteaker, Carlie Reeder, Willa Sue Cummings, Ella Kay Soma. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 AM until the service at 2:00 PM.

Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Delores Jo Frasier Turnbull age 79, of Livingston will be conducted 5 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 2024, from the First Christian Church in Livingston. Rev. James Shenko and Rev. Dee Wells will officiate. Mrs. Delores passed from this life on Saturday evening, April 27, 2024, from the Bailey Manor in Cookeville. She was born in Hattiesburg Mississippi, on July 22, 1944, to the late Gleeson Perry “Jeep” Frasier, and Margret Evangeline Smith Frasier. Delores leaves behind her husband, John Turnbull of Livingston, TN; son, Dr. John Turnbull and wife Inga of Cookeville, TN; daughters, Amy Hollars and husband Bob Burns of Livingston, TN, and Karen Wolfram and husband Tim of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, John Alex Wolfram and wife Rachel, Brenna Barker and husband Dereck, Luke Wolfram, Collin Frasier Turnbull and wife Sarah, Lauren Anne Turnbull, John Peter Hollars and wife Riley Smith Hollars, Carolin Hollars Officer and husband Patrick, and James Ambrey Hollars and Mackynlee Sims; great-grandchildren, Quinn Wolfram, Henry Wolfram, and Cami Barker; many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will welcome friends on Saturday from 3 p.m. until time of services at the First Christian Church.

Graveside services for Bobby Dale Bilbrey, age 81 of Byrdstown, will be held Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 2:00 PM from Story Cemetery with Bro. Keith Pryor officiating. The burial will be in Story Cemetery. Mr. Bilbrey passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born August 16, 1942 in Byrdstown, TN to James Arnold Bilbrey and Oradean (Neal) Bilbrey. He had attended Grace Chapel, and was a farmer and mechanic. Bobby is survived by (1) sister: Wilma Beaty and husband: Dale; nieces and nephews: Theresa Pritchett, Sonya Delk, Wayne Hickman, Mitch Hickman, Chad Hickman, Angie Pruitt; great nieces and nephews. Also survived by other family members and friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Charles Lewis Langford, age 82, of Livingston will be conducted 3 p.m., Sunday, May 5, 2024, from the First Methodist Church in Livingston. Rev. John Cahill will officiate. Burial to follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. Mr. Charles Langford passed from this life on Tuesday afternoon, May 30, 2024, from the comforts of his home. He was born in Cookeville, Tennessee on August 21, 1941, to the late W.H. and Edwina Clark Langford. Charles leaves behind his wife, Frances Carol Smith Langford of Livingston, TN; daughter, Mechelle Langford of Cookeville, TN; son Michael Langford and wife Tina of Monroe, TN; grandchildren, Nicole Thomas and husband Brandon, Danielle Srock and husband Jordan, Matthew Thrasher and wife Jade, Colby Langford and wife Kaitie, Colin Langford and wife Leslie, and Cori Ann Langford; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Frances Tieman and husband Lenny of Arlington, TX. The family will welcome friends at the church from 1 p.m. until time of services at the church.
