Ms. Karen Jeffers, age 61 of Cookevile, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Mr. Ricky Sherrell, age 57 of Cookeville, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021, at his residence. Funeral arrangements  are incomplete.

Mr. Richard Larkin, age 95 of Cookeville, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at his home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Ms. Katherine Gaw, age 72 of Cookeville, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021, at Legacy Care and Rehab Center in Manchester. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Mrs. Judith Newberry, age 72 of Gainesboro, passed away Friday, November 12, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Mr. Theodore “Teddy” Marshall Eldridge, age 64 of Chattanooga, and formerly of Monterey, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021. No services have been announced. Mr. Eldridge was born March 22, 1957, in Monterey, the son of the late Oliver Lee and Etta Ruby Gaines Eldridge. He was a truck driver. Survivors include two sisters, Doris Tharp of Louisville, KY, and Mary Welch of Chattanooga; two brothers, Boone Eldridge of Cookeville and Noah Jerry Eldridge of Chattanooga.

Mr. Billy Ray “Fig” Maxwell, age 68 of Cookeville and formerly of Baxter, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at his home. His wishes of cremation are being honored and a memorial service is being planned for a later date. He was born February 4, 1953, in Detroit, MI, to the late John Monroe and Gladys Willene Allen Maxwell. He attended Upperman High School in Baxter. Bill retired from Tennessee Tech University in the Maintainence Department with 14 years of service. Bill was a true Vol fan. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law. Jonathan Trent and Nicole Maxwell of Cookeville; daughter Holly Chaffin and husband, Trent Snider, of Baxter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home for expenses.

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Christine Mansell Vinson, age 89 of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday, November 16, at 11:00 a.m., at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brown’s Mill Cemetery. Mrs. Vinson passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021, at her home. She was born December 21, 1931 in Putnam County, to the late Harvey N. and Ruby L. Whitaker Mansell. Mrs. Vinson was a member of Cookeville First Baptist Church. She worked in the furniture business for over 40 years as a seamstress. She also owned and operated Mom’s Place at the Crossville Fleamarket for over 20 years. She loved to fish, sew quilts, browse garage sales, and work at the flea market booth. Survivors include two sons, Roger W. Vinson and Donnie (Glenda) Vinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Louis Vinson. The family will receive friends Monday, until 8:00 p.m., and Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Funeral services for Mrs. Kimberly “Kim” Ann Maxwell Whitehair, age 56 of Baxter, will be held Tuesday, November 16, at 11:00 a.m., at the Baxter Chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Baird Memorial Cemetery in the Hickman community of Smith County. Mrs. Whitehair passed away Friday, November 12, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born July 4, 1965 in Indianapolis, IN, to Wilbur Michael Maxwell of Baxter and the late Dorothy Ann Jackson Maxwell Hawkins. She was a member of Buckner Free Will Baptist Church. Kim enjoyed fishing, camping and embroidering. In addition to her father, survivors include her husband, James Douglas Whitehair of Baxter; sons Steven Paul (Eleana) Hughes of Gainesboro and Casey Edward (Brittney) Hughes of Baxter. In addition to her mother, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Atlanta Rosanna Faith Redmon. The family will receive friends Monday, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and  Tuesday, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry Presley Stewart, age 72 of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday, November 16, at 2:00 p.m., from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Mr. Stewart passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021. He was born October 2, 1949, in Cookeville, to the late Norma Bennett Smith and Floyd Leon “Todd” Stewart. Jerry was a devoted son, nephew, cousin, and friend. Jerry grew up in the Detroit area, where his love of cars began. He was a fanatic collector of MOPAR, Chrysler, and Dodge memorabilia, and shared his father’s love of antique car collecting. After graduating from Wayne State University, he journeyed back to Cookeville, and started a work career at K-Mart in the electronic department. Later, he worked his way into management and retired when his parents moved back home to Tennessee. After a time, Jerry embarked on the next phase of his work life at Wal-Mart. He worked there until he needed to take care of his mother. Jerry had a deep love of family; he loved having Sunday dinner with his grandparents. Later on, one of his favorite things was Saturday night dinner with his aunts and uncles. He was always ready to go out to eat, which led to him becoming a local guide for Google. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 16, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda Alcorn, age 74 of the Rocky Point Community, will be held Wednesday, November 17, at 1:00 p.m., at the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper, Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brown’s Mill Cemetery. Mrs. Alcorn passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at her home. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Wednesday, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

A memorial service for Ms. Belinda Mae Bryant, age 56 of Sparta, will be held Saturday, November 20, at 1:00 p.m., at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Ms. Bryant passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at her home. She was born in White County on August 19, 1965, to the late Bobbie Lee and Anna Jeanette Bryant. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 20, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
